The uniqueness of our school is the fervor and flavor of Chabad Chassidus, as inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, with particular emphasis on ahavas yisroel, and serving Hashem with Simcha, interjected into all aspects of the school program!
Our classes allow our staff to share their passion and dedication to Jewish life and learning, thereby creating an atmosphere of excitement and stimulation, while instilling a love of learning in our Talmidim and Talmidos.
In Yeshiva College we strive to:
- Create an atmosphere of appreciation for the teachings of Lubavitcher Rebbe, which, among other benefits, will encourage the students to desire a role as an emissary;
- Expose students, from the youngest ages on, to traditional Torah texts and knowledge, skills, values, ethos and behaviour patterns;
- A modern and innovative Secular education that is based on Critical Thinking Skills, Problem-solving, Experiential learning experiences, and hands-on learning.
- Maintain a discipline system based on the teachings of the Previous Rebbe (in his Klalei HaChinuch vey HaHadracha) which will train the students in self-mastery, teach them to assess themselves, nurture refined characteristics and good communication skills and weed out undesirable traits;
- World Class Chidon Study Program. For example, in 2020 all of our 10 students who were old enough to participate in the Chidon, passed all the tests, took the final master test, and were awarded a significant level of recognition. These great accolades from this program ranged from certificates to plaque’s that is rare and a reflection of the commitment and focus of our well known/regarded Rabbi and our students.
- Cater to individual needs through smaller classes where individual attention is focused upon;
- Equip the students with the skills and knowledge which the NSW Education Standards, NESA, has deemed essential for any educated citizen in Australia;
- Require a very high standard of excellence in behaviour and role modelling on the part of our teachers;
- Pay close attention to Pastoral Care and personal attention to the needs of each student;
- Nurture the relationships with parents and the community by keeping the parents and other stakeholders informed.

The Avi Chai Foundation published a watershed study on Hebrew school education (Wertheimer, 2009). One of the most intriguing findings was the emergence of new growth: Chabad-Lubavitch Schools. The report, authored by former Jewish Theological Seminary provost Dr. Jack Wertheimer, said that Chabad has taken a bold new approach to Hebrew / Jewish schooling. How...committed teachers, creative curricula, and a new program are inspired by excitement and strength. The report also cites parents who related that Chabad had won the children over and their children’s enthusiasm for programs was infectious and a welcome change from their previous unhappiness at other schools. The parents described how they were then drawn into the Chabad Center by their children. However, the greatest advantage of Chabad schools is the drive and focus of the teachers and their community. The rabbis and Jewish teachers live Judaism in an intense, personal way. They serve as powerful role models for the children, who become inspired by their infectious joy. The children bring this home and parents and siblings often join the Jewish experience, too. For our Secular teachers, they are only on our staffing if they have a full understanding and respect for the Chabad ethos. Along with this, all Secular staff are cutting edge educators who have been hand-picked and professionally developed in inquiry learning, experiential education, and critical thinking skills.
